i’m getting a tattoo for my 18th. what to get though.. nothing too cliched, nothing too unoriginal. maybe something photography related. maybe some text. maybe something to do with my favourite photo.. jeff wall’s ‘milk’.

part of my ‘square to square’ project. picking a square of the manchester A-Z and documenting your journey to that place. i picked chinatown.

just trying out my nikon 50mm f/1.8. finding the manual focus a bit hard to get perfect but it’s practice i think. love it and it’s got me really inspired… thinking of doing more portraits, but kinda capturing the bits ‘in between’ shots. 
my first tat, that i got around 2 weeks ago for my 18th birthday. it’s on my forearm in case you can’t tell :) done by ‘tattoo phil’ in fleetwood, uk.
